Week in Abstract

Kaisha, Collin, & Alissa all started classes. Alissa at MP3 taking history, speech, two writing classes and a computer class. Collin is taking Spanish, speech and English (notice it is nothing he particularly likes ... you gotta love college!). Kaisha is taking a marketing class (loves it), English and accounting. Note all three of them in speech classes. Cycles of anxiety have already started.

Collin had six hours of orientation for his first real job. Cafeteria work at an assisted living facility (notice it is nothing he particularly likes).

Sold Kaisha's old car. Yay.

I finished my 829 page book, Les Miserables. It was so good. I get a little lost when he goes off about the French revolution, but otherwise I loved it. Gripping. Couldn't put it down. Now we get to watch the movie!

Alissa had her first week in Pre-Seniors on the swim team. The workouts are a LOT harder; she comes home exhausted.

Ania had her first week with Mrs. Graham at preschool. She will be great; we just miss Mrs. Saucer from last year. Ania saw Kristy, her speech therapist on Monday. Kristy was so pleased with Ani's progress over the summer. As far as I can tell, Ania's met 3 of 4 current goals on her IEP! This year she goes to preschool three times each week for just under 3 hours each time.

I've been thinking a lot about Ephesians, the book Dax is preaching on at Grace Church. Loving verses in chapter two: But God ... made us alive together with Christ ... so that in the coming ages He might show the immeasurable riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. Count me in! Incredible! My reason to celebrate this day.
