Maui & All Done Gallivanting

It's so tempting to pack up and move to Maui! I wouldn't want to live there for decades ... but maybe a couple years. My husband would be the quintessential perfect beach bum on his days off. Blond hair, blue eyes, incredible tan, surf boarding dude.
He did teach himself to surf while we were there! Once he had the right board ("small wave, big board" was what the nice little man at the surfboard rental shop told us) he was all over those waves! It was so fun to watch. Me, well, I sat on the surfboard and had fun, but the actual surfing part gives me a reason to go back.

We are *official* Chris and Kat fans now. We were really hoping to get some good hanging out times with them, and we did! Watched a couple movies in our hotel room together, swam in the fancy pool, went out to dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe, saw them both at their jobs, hung out at their house, Brett listened to a bunch of Chris's music, we played with their new kitty, ate Kat's apple pie that she physically wounded herself while making, peeled old paint off the table they are going to refinish ... and talked and talked and talked and talked. We love those two!

Kat has a photography business. She and Chris did a photo shoot for us. It is so FUN to have some really good pictures from our trip! They are actually the best pictures Brett and I have ever had taken together! I cannot wait to have prints made. (The good one at the top is hers ... the rest are mine. I'll post more of the good ones she took soon.)

Our hotel had a really amazing art collection ... check out these bongos.

I'm done gallivanting around the globe (unless Kaisha goes to England in the spring!) After ten days in China, ten days at home, and then a week in Maui ... I am oh, so glad to be home! Can't get enough Ani-Mia-hugging-time. Excited about the weeks to come. Arend-time, Grace Church Bellingham, fall, rain, school ... good days coming.
