The Dichotomy of Being Nineteen

This last weekend Kaisha spent 24 hours with an old friend and a new friend. It's amazing how much fun three girls can fit into a small amount of space and time. They could almost write a short novel. Let's suffice it to say that it involved 5 hours of movies, 3 bags of chips, dozens and dozens of photos, computer time, most likely a good half million words, and (my favorite part) playing dress up. Maybe when you're 19 you have a more sophisticated name for playing dress up. But from the mom's perspective ... it was the same sort of dressing up that Mia and Ania now do on a regular basis. Only Mia and Ania don't turn the whole thing into a movie, complete with credits. So grown up, but so young and silly at the same time. It's the dichotomy of being nineteen.

Haha...I'm not quite 19 YET! :) But it is a super-awesome time of life and I love every minute of it! We can be silly and wild and serious and mature all at the same time! This past weekend ROCKED! :)

They looked so funny! That sounds like a blast! My best friend and I give each other "makeovers". They are actually "who can make who most ugly" makeovers. Lots of fun!

We've really got to come up with a better name than dress-up!!!

You guys could call it "costume design". That's even a category people win Academy Awards for!
