The things great memories are made of! Flaming Christmas trees. We LOVE buring the tree in the yard. It's a great lesson in fire safety ... it goes up in flames in about 20 seconds. Collin is the pyrotechnic supervisor that starts the festivities. You gotta try it.
I love the post-Christmas clean up. Not so much the work of it ... but the great clutter-free feeling of the living room after all the decorations are boxed up and put in the attic. Makes you want to get a good book, a blanket and a place on the couch.

Now I KNOW that Collin is my blood-relative, not that there was any doubt before. He has inherited the pyro-gene from his father's side of the family. I have it too! I believe it came from Papa Gordie and his father. Beyond that, I'm not sure. One would think that it is a male chromosome gene, but since I'm a female who is not equipped with the infamous male Y chromosome, I think it can be found in either gender.
There, you've had your biology lesson in genetics for the day!
The picture is making me sad :(
On a happier note, I got glasses like yours! :D I thought of you when I picked them out. :)
I love reading your blog!!! You bring new perspectives, and you always make me laugh :) Miss you!
